What do I place in the "owner" fields for a non profit as there is no owner? Setting up to receive online payments via invoicing. QB is asking for owner information.

I have been "denied" several times. The QB chat has no answers as to why. Got QB support on the phone...no answer and was hung up on during multiple transfers the the "right" department. Burnt over 2 hours yesterday.

This is not the service we want you to experience, @jasoncpowell.

That being said, let me share some information to help you complete the Online Payments setup.

First, let's make sure to configure that your QuickBooks account is set up to track Non-Profit transactions. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon⚙️.
  2. Choose Account and settings.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. In Company type, select Edit ✏️.
  5. From the Tax form ▼ dropdown, pick Nonprofit organization (Form 990)
  6. Click Save.
  7. Select Done.
  8. Sign out and sign back in to see the changes reflected throughout QuickBooks.

Once completed, you can proceed with completing the Online Payments setup. You can enter the organization's legal representative or comptroller. As for the address, you can enter the address used when registering the  non-profit organization. You can refer to this article for more insights: Configure an account for a nonprofit organization.

Also, you can use this article to help your track fund donations in QuickBooks: Track funds you receive from donors in QuickBooks Online.

Swing by here again if you have other questions or concerns. I'm always here to help.

Thank you for your time! The above was already done... I tried it all again and it still failed... on yet another chat now...

For reference, the issue was not solved after 10+ chats and multiple phone calls. After spending close to 3 hours attempting to find an answer, that no one at QB had, I cancelledy account and requested a refund. Not happy at all and not recommend QB to any of my fellow 501c3 organizations I know well.
