What is going on? I have reviewed receipts that has been uploaded. When I try to "Create expense", I get the message Something went wrong Try again later

This happens for any receipts I try to add. I was successfully adding receipts and then just started happening.

I’d like to help you get past the error, @knox-becky.

Let’s try to perform some troubleshooting steps that can help to isolate this. To start, log into your QuickBooks Online account using a private browser. Your regular browser's cache might have caused this unexpected behavior while using QuickBooks.

Here’s how:

  • Press Ctrl+ Shift + N keys on your keyboard (Google Chrome).
  • Press Ctrl+ Shift + P keys on your keyboard (Firefox or Internet Explorer).
  • Press Control+ Option + P keys on your keyboard (Safari).

If the private browsing session works, retry to create an expense, and you’ll need to clear your browser’s cache to prevent unexpected behavior in the product. Check out this article for the steps: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/install-or-update-products/how-do-i-clear-my-brows...

Also, switching to a different supported browsers will resolve this error message.

I'm still here to provide further assistance with this concern. Just leave a reply below, and we'll take it from there. Have a great day.

Let's try one more step to get rid of the error so you can create an expense after reviewing receipts, Teve.

You can clear Intuit-specific cookies after deleting browser's cache and cookies. This helps refresh website preferences that might be causing problems when you use QuickBooks.

When you’re ready, follow the steps for your browser:

Google Chrome

  1. Click the Menu: button, then Settings.
  2. Select Advanced.
  3. Select Site settings under Privacy and Security.
  4. Select Cookies and site data, then See all cookies and site data.
  5. Type “intuit” in the search bar to find Intuit cookies.
  6. Select Remove.
  7. Restart Google Chrome for the changes to take effect.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click the Open menu ≡, then Preferences ⚙.
  2. Select Privacy Security.
  3. Select Manage Data under Cookies and Site Data.
  4. Type “intuit” in the search bar, and select Enter to find Intuit cookies.
  5. Select Remove All, then Save Changes.
  6. Restart Mozilla Firefox for the changes to take effect.

Safari

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Click Safari beside the apple icon to the top left.
  3. Select Preferences, then the Privacy.
  4. Select Manage website data.
  5. Type “intuit” in the search bar to find Intuit cookies.
  6. Select Remove all.
  7. Select Remove now, then Done.
  8. Restart Safari for the changes to take effect.

Once done, try to review and create expenses. If the same issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Team. Then can further investigate what's causing this behavior.

Here's how to contact them:

  1. Go to Help (?).
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
