When I create am invoice and send it, It says it's overdue and I can't find the option to mark as paid. How do I mark invoices paid or how do I create a paid for invoice?

When I create am invoice and send it, It says it's overdue and I can't find the option to mark as paid. How do I mark invoices paid or how do I create a paid for invoice?

Let's record a payment to mark an invoice as paid, Jawill17. I'll gladly show you the way.

 

  1. Go to the + New button.
  2. Select Receive Payment.
  3. From the Customer drop-down menu, select the name of the customer.
  4. Select the payment method.
  5. From the Deposit to drop-down menu, select the account you put the payment into.
  6. In the Outstanding Transactions section, select the checkbox for the invoice you're recording the payment for.
  7. Complete all the necessary details.
  8. Once done, click on Save and close.

You can also pull up the Invoices and Received Payments report. This helps you see all the payments that are linked to the invoices. To do this, go to the Reports menu and then scroll down to the Who owes you section.
