Let me elaborate on some details of when contractors received their 1099s. Accounting.
The 1099 forms must be e-filed on or before January 28, before 5:00 PM PT so they can be processed and mailed to contractors by January 31. Please note that this will be mailed to the addresses indicated in the contractor's profile. You'll want to make sure that addresses indicated in your 1099 forms are accurate and at the same time wait for a little while since they'll mail 1099 on the 31st.
On the other hand, if you've e-filed the form after January 28, you can print the 1099 forms and manually send them to your contractor. To print, follow the steps outlined below:
Contact us to get a copy if you don’t see the archived or previously filed 1099. Also, QuickBooks Online doesn't provide Form 1096. To get the same info, select View Summary to see a summary of your e-filed 1099s.

Your contractor should receive the 1099 within 7-10 business days from the date it was mailed out or postmarked. It's important to consider that this timeframe depends on factors such as USPS service and weather conditions.

Will 1099s be mailed to contractors if they are e-filed via Quickbooks online on 1/30/24?
I am one of the "contractors" with our company and I have not received an email or a physical copy of my 1099, so this is why I am wondering what could be missing in the process if I have done everything listed above and it does say "emailed, mailed" as of status of filling and I have not received one, so I am fairly sure the other contractors have not.

I'm on chat now and they have confirmed that my client's 1099s HAVE NOT YET BEEN MAILED even though it says they have been mailed in the 1099 report screen AND I processed the 1099s on January 23!!! This is not good.
I just found out the same thing. Mine say accepted, mailed/emailed on 1/29/24 and I just found out that they have not even been mailed yet!! This is not okay!
I understand the importance of fixing the issue as soon as possible. Let me provide details about when and how will your contractors receive their 1099s after being filed in QuickBooks Online (QBO), PBuilding.
1099s are postmarked to your contractors by January 31st, which is the deadline set by the IRS for sending out these forms. However, the delivery time may take a week or more depending on USPS service, weather conditions, and your contractor's mailing address. If the contractor hasn't received their 1099 forms within seven business days after January 31, you may opt to print the recipient copies from your account so you can send them to your contractors.
Additionally, let your contractors check their spam and junk folders to see if the emails are sitting there. If you haven't received a notifications, I recommend contacting again our Customer Care team as they are the ones who can provide more details about your filed tax forms. Here's how:

@RCV RE: The distribution of 1099s by QuickBooks to your contractors usually takes place after January 31st as it is the deadline set by the IRS for sending out forms to contractors.
Did you even read what you wrote? That makes no sense at all!
The deadline is January 31st. That is when you must have already sent them, when you are done, not the date to start.
We paid you for the service for you to mail the 1099's to our contractors. It is unacceptable to tell us to print them and mail them ourselves if they haven't been sent out. Are you going to refund us what we paid you to take care of this on our behalf?
@PBuilding RE: We paid you for the service for you to mail the 1099's to our contractors.
Oh, you had to pay extra for this service? Wow, you'd think Intuit would be motivated to actually deliver, especially considering the compliance component, the deadline being two weeks ago now.
Intuit says the penalties are $60 - $310 per late 1099 form: https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tips/small-business-taxes/penalties-for-not-filing-a-1099-misc-irs-f...
I wonder if they intend to pay the penalties?
