Why are "Custom Fields" limited to how many can print on an invoice?

First, I'd like to complain that having more than two custom fields requires a significant upgrade in cost to QBO. This is so arbitrary and petty. But, I've swallowed that pill and have moved on with my life.

However what I can't for the life of me understand is why there is a limit to three of these custom forms being able to be printed on an invoice??

I've paid to have extra forms… but now I can't actually show them to my customers?

Here's a screenshot; when trying to enable another form, it says "Reached limit: You're using 3 of 3 print on form limit on invoice."

Insanity.

I can see how you want to print more than three custom forms on the invoice. Let me add a few information about this, PhotoJoseph.

The availability of custom fields varies depending on the QuickBooks Online (QBO) version you're using. For the QuickBooks Online Advanced (QBOA) version, only a maximum of 3 custom fields will have the print-on form turned on for any single form type. If you have any suggestions, you can consider sending feedback to let our product team know how this is useful for your business. To do so, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

This goes to our Product Development team to help improve your experience in QuickBooks Online. You can also track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

On top of that, here's an article for your reference with utilizing the templates in QuickBooks Online as well as on what other information we can add to your sales forms: Customize Invoices, Estimates, and Sales Receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Why are "Custom Fields" limited to how many can print on an invoice?

I appreciate your efforts to help, however…
1. The feedback form is a black hole. Ideas go there to die. No one ever hears back about these, so I'm convinced every submission here goes straight to the trash.
2. The "online feature requests" web page is unnavigable. I spent ten minutes trying to find a way to submit feedback that wasn't mobile. Everything comes back to the same "How can we improve QuickBooks Mobile on iOS and Android?". This isn't a mobile issue. It's desktop. This interface was created in 1990 and hasn't been updated since. Ironically I remember writing about how that feature request page is so awful many years ago. Glad to see nothing has changed.
3. Thanks for the article but I know how to customize my invoice. I clearly know where to go; there's just no way to add more than three custom fields. Insane.

I do wish Intuit actually listened to customers. That'd be an improvement.
