Why can I no longer manually move individual line items up and down on an invoice?

Can no longer click on a line item and manually drag it up or down on an invoice. Why? I have tried other deleting browsing history

I’m here to walk you through how to move an item in an invoice from one line to another. First, hover your mouse on the dot beside the column number. Here's how: 

 

  1. From the Invoice screen, enter the information needed.
  2. You can move the item by clicking (long press) square of dots next to the number line and move it up or down.

Did anyone ever answer this?  I am having the same issue.  I cannot click the square of dots and drag the line item as I used to be able to do.

I see how important it is for you to be able to drag the line item on your invoices. With this, let’s perform some troubleshooting steps to check if this issue is caused by browser cache. It can cause odd behavior if your browser is storing too much data as it will affect its performance.

 

You can use a private window or incognito mode to open your QuickBooks Online account. It won't use the data from the existing webpage cache. From there, let’s access the Vendors list.

 

Here are the shortcut keys:

 

  • For Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge browser, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Google Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, press Command + Shift + N.

 

Once done, try to create the expense again from a receipt. If this works, you’ll need to clear your browser’s cache and cookies to refresh the system. You can also switch to other browsers to see if the problem is with the one you're currently using.

 

After that, you can create an invoice again. You’ll want to consider customizing it to add specific info or your personal touch to make it look more appealing.

Why can I no longer manually move individual line items up and down on an invoice?

I am having a related issue, I can drag the items, but when I print, the line items no longer reflect what item is first. Please let me know how I can do this!
