Join nowI'm happy to answer your questions about using the Show existing feature when adding images to your transactions in QuickBooks Online 9QBO), @eric43.
Attachments are additional files (i.e., images/pictures) that can be included in customer and vendor profiles, as well as their transactions (i.e., bills and invoices) in QBO.
The Show Existing feature on your transaction will display all existing and unlinked documents from your Attachments list (please see the screenshot below for your reference). You may not need to use the said feature after dragging or dropping an image into the Attachment box of your bill transaction. Since you'll still be able to link the image you've added to your bill once saved.
To know more about what transactions can keep attachments, acceptable file types, and how to do the process, you can refer to this article: Attachments in QuickBooks Online.
Also, to further guide you in managing your business's growth and transactions using QBO, I'd recommend checking out this article: QuickBooks Help Articles. It includes topics about account management, banking, and expenses, to name a few. You can also explore helpful video tutorials to learn your way around the program.
Let me know in the comments if you have other questions about Attachments and managing transactions in QBO. I'll gladly help. Keep safe always, @eric43.
I'm actually having an issue with this. When I drag and drop an image into the attachment, then press save, the image is sometimes saved, but sometimes not. But if I drag and drop an image, then click on "show existing" and ADD the image, then press save, the image is always saved. Do you know the reason why this is happening?
