You have me to help you get it back to the way you wanted to view the icon bar. You can do it by clicking the View menu, and then selecting Top Icon Bar.

Thank you for replying, I do have the top view selected. It seems to revert to the left view without us changing us.

We can experience this behavior if there's an error with your QuickBooks. Update it to the latest release to make sure you have the most recent fixes. We can also repair your QuickBooks Desktop to avoid this from happening again. These are the steps to follow:
