In QuickBooks Online, clients can appear as deleted or inactive due to various reasons. When clients are marked as deleted or inactive, it typically means they have been made inactive in the system. This status is often a result of merging duplicate clients, where one client is made inactive during the merging process.
To restore your clients in QuickBooks Online without the need to manually re-enter them, follow these steps below:
- On the left pane, click Sales.
- Select the Customers tab.
- Click the Gear icon above the ACTION icon.
- Put a mark next to Include inactive.
- Find the customer and click the Make active link in the ACTION column.
