Why I can't see price rule in my QBO? I get into: Account and Settings / Sales / Products and services but there is no price rule setting option. How can I get it?

Price Rules is a new beta feature that can only be set up through your desktop web browser only. To turn on Price Rules, I have some steps to help direct you. 

1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Account and Settings or Company Settings.
2. Select the Sales tab.
3. In the Products and Services section, select Edit ✏️.
4. Select the Turn on price rules Beta check mark.
5. Select Save and then Done.

If you have any more questions about Price Rules and creating them, this article should help with setting price rules in QuickBooks Online.  If you're not able to turn on this beta feature, try clearing your cache and cookies for your browser. I'm here if you have any other questions.

I knew the way you post. That's why I addressed in the question that I can't see the 'price rules Beta' option. As attached is the screen cut of the option group.

Thank you for following up, jones.chg. This is a new feature being rolled out by QuickBooks Online. I recommend opening an incognito browser for your corresponding browser. 

• Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
• Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
• Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
• Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once in incognito sign in to your QBO account and try to view the Price Rule Option. If you're still not able to see this option, please reach out to me here.

Unfortunately it's still same. No price rule option appear. Any other way? 

At this point the best option would be to contact support. There may be an ongoing investigation as to why you aren't able to see that feature. You can reach out to either chat or phone support by following these steps:

1. Click the Help button on the top of the screen.
2. Select Contact Us from the drop-down menu
3. Write your question and select your way to connect with us.

The Price rule features in QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app is currently unavailable. You can only apply and set this up when you're using QBO in a web browser.

Before you create a price rule, you'll need to turn on this feature in QBO. 

Here's how:

1. Go to Settings and select Account and Settings.
2. Select the Sales tab.
3. In the Products and Services section, hit Edit.
4. Click the Turn on price rules Beta checkmark.
5. Tick Save and then Done.

Once done, you may refer to this article to create a price rule: Set pricing rules in QuickBooks Online.

I already tried the steps you are telling me, but the problem is that I don't have the Price Rule Beta option available. I'm already subscribed to the QBO Plus, but still it doesn't appear. I'm sending you a screenshot from the only options I get.

The Price Rules is a beta feature in QuickBooks Online Plus which is currently available for US regions. There's is a possibility that you've signed up for a different region. Hence, the beta feature is not available even if you are already subscribed to QBO Plus.

If you have subscribed to QBO Plus for US region, the Home Currency should be United States Dollar by default. 

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Account and Settings.
2. Select the Advanced tab and go to the Currency section.
3. You should see United States Dollar as the Home Currency.

If you have changed the home currency to get the correct one, that explains why we don't have the beta feature. Otherwise, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team to further review your account.

1. Click Help in the upper-right corner and select Contact Us.
2. Enter the details of your concern and select Let's talk.
3. Select how you want to speak with them (phone or chat).
4. Enter the necessary details to complete the request.

Not seeing the pricing rule. I am in Barbados, could my location be an issue?

Yes, Rickii. Location can be the reason this feature isn't showing.

The Price Rule feature is currently in beta testing as one of the newly added features of QuickBooks Online. The initial release for this feature doesn't include the International versions.

Alternatively, we can manually enter the appropriate price in the Rate column when you create an invoice. Here's how:

1. Go to the + New button.
2. Select Invoice.
3. Enter all the necessary invoice details, then manually enter the price in the Rate column.
   
4. Click Save and Close.

You may also consider using a third-party application that can help manage your price rules. Let's go to the Apps menu to look for a compatible app that suits your business needs. For visual reference, I've attached a screenshot below.

This has been in beta for over two years? I was forced to switch to QBO from desktop and am not happy I can't use any of the features I had been.

The Price Rules beta feature was added to QuickBooks in November of 2017. It can be used after turning it on in your Account and settings. Detailed steps for doing so can be found in MaulikH's post.

After you've activated the feature, you can create price rules.

Here's how:
 

• Use your Gear icon, then go to All Lists.
• Click Price Rules.
• Select Create a rule or New price rule.
• Give it a name.

Here's some things you'll want to be aware of:
 

• You can set when the rule is active from its Start date and End date fields.
• Price rules apply to all customers by default. If you only want a rule to apply to specific customers, use the Select customers ▼ drop-down list, hit Select individually, then Add customer. You can also add customer types.
• Price rules apply to all products and services by default. If you want one to only apply to specific types, use your Select products or services ▼ drop-down and specify a type.
• You can use your Set sales price or rate by ▼, Percentage ▼, and Rounding ▼ drop-downs to decide how much you want to increase or decrease prices by.

When you're ready to apply the customizations, select Apply. You'll see your adjusted prices for each item based on the customizing in your Adjusted price column. Use the Save and close button when you're finished setting everything up.

Non-US based customers of QuickBooks Online still don't have the option to enable price rules. However, I strongly urge you to share your thoughts with our software engineers. They carefully examine customer feedback, especially when determining how to improve QuickBooks.

Here's how:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
3. Type in your suggestion and click Next.

HI we have made a price rule, and it’s working. But when I make an invoice for this customer with this price rule, on my iPad or phone, the prize rule isnt there. It should automatically be there when it works on desktop right?

Creating a price rule is exclusive to users using the web. That being said, it isn't available to any of the QuickBooks mobile applications. 

For now, we can use QuickBooks Online in the mobile browser to access the price rules you've created.

Additionally, you might want to run reports to see your sales and inventory status in QuickBooks Online.
