Why is my quickbooks online sending invoices and reminders without my approval. This just started recently and has been embarrassing.

I appreciate the steps you've performed to stop QuickBooks from sending invoices automatically, @TaylorHeating.

 

I've checked if there's a reported issue regarding this matter, and I haven't found one. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this issue fixed so you can get back to working order.

 

One of the possible reasons why QuickBooks acting weird is because of the browser data issue. To verify, let's log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard: 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

 

If this works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I recommend switching to a different one.

 

You may want to view all your sales transactions in the future. You can go to the Sales menu and select All Sales. This will give you a great view of the status of sales transactions, open invoices, and paid invoices.

This is a massive problem. It has been going on for years!!!! At least 2020!!! I cannot believe that it cannot be fixed and the best you can offer is to get on the email list of affected users!???? Your product is destroying our credibility and making us look like fools. We have turned everything possible off so that automatic reminders should be disabled. you should actually remove this from your platform altogether since you cannot seem to find the problem. 

 

I need a FIX NOW or I am leaving Quickbooks permanently.

Why is my quickbooks online sending invoices and reminders without my approval. This just started recently and has been embarrassing.

I also checked our records and I can see that the investigation that's mentioned in the previous responses has already been closed and resolved. 

 

The automatic invoice reminder settings might have been turned on in your account. Let's first verify that auto-reminders aren't turned on in your QBO settings. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear or Settings icon and select Account and settings.
  2. Proceed to the Sales tab and go to the Reminders section.
  3. Toggle the Automatic invoice reminders option to turn it off.
  4. Click Save, then choose Done.

 

Just in case the feature wasn't activated at all, I would recommend reaching out to our support teams via chat or phone channel. They can take a closer look at your account and investigate why the reminders are being sent.
