Why when I email estimates/invoices does it not show up in my "sent" folder in gmail?

I'm here to help ensure your sent invoices display in the Sent folder in Gmail.

 

Before we proceed, please know that you can only send invoices from your Gmail address. Thus, other sales forms such as sales receipts and estimates are currently unavailable to send from the Gmail address.

 

Sent invoices from QuickBooks Online should show in your Gmail's Sent folder. Since they aren't showing, I suggest checking the Spam folder. There are times that the sent emails from QuickBooks will display on the Spam folder.

 

However, if they're still missing from there, it's possible that the invoice wasn't delivered. To verify, let's review the invoice status to ensure it was sent. To do so, find and open the created invoices. Then, make sure the invoice status displays as Sent. If not, you can resend the invoice.

How do I set-up an email to send estimates?  I set-up my gmail for invoices.  I don't understand why my estimates cannot be sent from gmail too??

Why when I email estimates/invoices does it not show up in my "sent" folder in gmail?

I'll explain why you cannot send estimates from your Gmail account and guide you on what other options you can do, RCH1.

 

The key difference between estimates and invoices is that estimates are not considered an amount owed by your customer, whereas an invoice is a formal statement of a balance due. For now, QuickBooks gives more weighed or emphasis on having the option to connect invoices to Gmail accounts.

 

You can send a request to our product team to let them know that sending estimates from your Gmail is important to your business. To do so, you can follow the steps outlined below for your reference: 

 

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

 

Furthermore, when a customer pays an invoice, you'll have to record the payment to connect to the invoice to balance your account. However, if you're using QuickBooks Payments, we handle all the accounting for you.
