Why will not not let me put a customer in my invoice?

To clarify, are you receiving an error message when trying to add a customer? If so, can you share a screenshot of it? This way, I can investigate this matter further. If you're not receiving an error message, what happens when you try adding a customer to the invoice? 

 

For now, let's try some basic troubleshooting steps, such as clearing the cache from your browser. Web browsers collect cache to save time when loading repetitive data and images. Over time these files can become outdated and corrupted, causing issues like the one with your invoices. I'm including the links to all supported browsers that contain the steps to clear the cache below.
