With the new visual update I am no longer able to put multiple values in the line item section. I used to be able to use multiplication and press tab to get a value.

Can you tell what line item section are you referring to? Also, may I know what do you mean by multiple values? I would appreciate any details you can share including screenshot to help me better understand your concern and provide an accurate solution.

You'll want to use an actual calculator app to add those digits. Then, enter it in the Amount field.

QuickBooks Online automatically provides the difference when you enter the amount in the first line item. Hence, you can keep adding lines until the balance is zero.

Splitting a Bank Transaction

1. From QuickBooks Online, navigate to the Banking tab, then to the For Review section.
2. Click the transaction you need to assign multiple Payees and select Split.
3. For each part of the split, enter a Category, a Payee, and the Amount.
   
4. Click Save and add once finished.

Why did they remove this feature? It saves me substantial amount of time to calculate in Quickbooks and has been able to be done for at least 15 years.

Due to enhancement and feature requests from customers like you, our Product Engineer had made changes to some functionalities in QuickBooks Online.

You have to simply enter the amount on your split transaction. Then, QuickBooks will calculate the remaining difference for you.
