2020 Year in Review: Community Stats and Top Posts

2020 Year in Review banner.png

Here it is, the final look back at our Community in 2020.   Today we are going to take a look at how the community has grown over the past year, and check out some of the most popular posts.

So let's start with the numbers - signs of a healthy community are growth and engagement, and as you will see, we had both.

The great thing about the increases in views, visits, and unique visitors is that we saw a significant increase in the numbers of members coming to the Community from mobile devices - showing that we are there for people when they need us, even if they aren't near their computer.

But as I mentioned above, the other factor that shows how healthy a community is are the engagement numbers - we could post all we wanted, but if no one comments or interacts with our content, then we may as well just be talking to ourselves.   I'm quite happy to say that we didn't have that problem. ;)

  • 2021-01-02_15-54-22.pngWhile our agents work diligently to make sure that we respond to every post, many times you have already responded and helped out your fellow community members.  45% of the comments and answers were provided by you!
  • Kudos are up 48% year over year, meaning that you are cheering more responses to help others identify the top content.
  • Accepted Solutions grew modestly from last year, at 2%, and we are working to make sure that it's easier to find them.

Remember, by accepting a response as being correct, you are helping others with a similar issue know which answer is the best for that situation. ***

Now let's take a look at some of the most popular posts from this year that helped drive some of the engagement numbers above.

Our Q&A forums are always busy, but in spite of all the changes this year, these were two of the most popular posts:

How do I change from schedule payment to make payment?

Account registers do not open in Quickbooks Pro

Unsurprisingly, COVID-19 and the flurry of legislation surrounding it drove quite a bit of traffic, here are some of the top posts from our Q&A and Business Discussion forums around the changes:

What is the plan to handle the Employer Retention Credit part of the CARES act? (50% credit for up t...
Covid-19 Emergency Paid Leave - How to Set Up Payroll & US Dept of Labor Poster (New 3/26/2020)

And rounding things out, here are some of the top posts from our Business Discussions forums:

Introduction and looking for advice for my new bookkeeping business!
AMA: Champions Edition!

2020 was quite the year, but despite all the challenges, I am so incredibly proud to be part of this Community and I want to thank each and every one of you for coming along the journey with us.

Here is to an amazing 2021!
