Building Your Business Website

Good afternoon, Community! Spring is in the air! This time of year is perfect for revamping certain areas of both life and business. With that being said, do you have a website for your business? If so, what do you include on the site? And if not, here are a few ideas to get you started...

Clear Language
There's nothing much more frustrating than finding something you'd like to purchase but no info regarding price, or how to pay and complete the transaction. This is one I've personally experienced, and honestly if I have to dig for this info I start looking for similar products elsewhere. When building your website be sure to use clear, informative language that tells your customers exactly what to do to make a purchase.

Photos
Pictures on your business's website are a must. Pictures of you, of your product, of just the product, and of other people wearing or using your product. All of the above. Photos show your audience you, the face behind the name, and the others show how to use or wear what you're selling. In addition to having photos, make sure they're great! Clearness and brightness really help viewers get the full effect. There are various different apps available to help make your photos their best.

Reviews
Speaking from personal experience one more time, but I always check out reviews before making a purchase! I don't think I'm alone in this sentiment so why not feature raving reviews on your page? Make sure you include a designated area for testimonials so new customers can see what others are saying about your business.

Mission and Vision
Connecting with both your regular loyal and potential customers is huge. Another addition to your business website is an "Our Story", "About [Insert Business Name]", "The Why Before You Buy" section that explains who you are and what you do. This area is a great way to tell your viewers more about yourself, including the mission and vision of the company, which goes back to increasing connection and showing the real life human being on the other side of the screen.

Contact Info
Last but not least, your website should include as many avenues as possible for people (* potential customers*) to get in touch with you. You'd hate to miss out on a sell due to an individual not being able to reach you. Link your social media platforms, email address, business address, and business phone number.

A small business website doesn't have to be elaborate but it does need to be effective. These are just a few basic ideas for what to show your client base. Let's hear from you - what else would you include? Take care, friends!
