I think "self-care" has been the trend for quite some time now. Everywhere you go, people are giving you their tips and tricks and asking for yours. We keep hearing how important it is (and how versatile) but why is it so hard to remember? I asked some of my favorite coworkers to share their favorite self-care treats. My goal is to have someone out there book an appointment by the end of this post :)

From Morgan:
Please whatever you do don't feel badly for me because I LOVE my roles that I've been given but as a full time working mom of two sometimes it's difficult to find the time to practice self-care. However when I do, I absolutely love a good mani/pedi. When I get my manicure and pedicure it takes about an hour which seems to be just the allotted amount of time before mom-guilt creeps in, sorry can't help it, but during that hour I feel a bit like a queen. I usually grab an iced coffee on the way and then sit in a massage chair for the entirety of the visit. When I'm not getting my fingernails worked on, I mindlessly yet peacefully, scroll through my phone, without being asked "Hey Mom, I watch a video on you phone?" Ahhh, I think I'll call to make my next appointment right now. :)

I will be honest, I haven't been on my self-care game in a minute. But when I do, my favorite thing to do is get a hot stone massage. It is very calming and makes you feel like you are walking on clouds afterward. I highly recommend that you get this done at least once in your life.

Self care who? Haha it's not easy to prioritize taking care of yourself! I know like many, I get caught up in work, family, school, etc. I love talking about it, reading about it, even encouraging others to do it.... but don't often take the time like I should. With that being said, my favorite thing to do is getting my nails done! There's something about not sitting on my bedroom floor (trying not to spill polish) that makes it feel very decadent. I also get gel rather than regular to make sure it sticks around longer than usual. It's always a nice surprise to look down at my nails and see some color. I try to time it with each change of season, so I have an excuse to celebrate!
