I'm not sure if I'm reaching for the moon to have both a dynamic AND affordable social media person to take over my social media (sojournbox.com), however, I thought what better place to turn, but QB Community! :)
A bit of what I'm looking for:
+ Manage Instagram/Facebook
+ Possibly manage Mailchimp campaigns
+ Would love them to be Bay Area based (but definitely not a must)
Have any of you attempted to hire out this work? Good experience? Less than good experience? Interns? I would LOVE love LOVE any feedback.
Many thanks in advance!
My firm actually does full social media management including content creation I would love to chat with you more about what you need. Also fun fact I grew up in Richmond, Ca. However, I'm currently located in Long Beach, Ca.

Great to hear from you! How was the holiday rush? I know a few students around UCSC that might be able to help. Moreover, I'd say their personalities match what you're looking for :).
What's the grand mission? Maybe that will help us narrow down your perfect candidate.
Hi @jmisunas - glad to hear that QB Community is your go-to place for suggestions on building your business!
Agree with @Anonymous that college students can be an adept and very affordable - possibly free - resource for managing social media accounts. Trading social-media savvy for work experience seems like a pretty good deal to me :smileyhappy: Email marketing is a bit of different skillset, but if you're willing to invest some time in on-the-job training your successful candidate should be able to do double-duty.
How concerned are you about turnover? Are you looking for short-term help or a longer-term commitment?
I literally just registered on quickbooks with updating a few things to connect to taxes and figured why not look into community for any hints or ideas. I wanted to personally reach out and share with you an amazing point of contact who has been doing this virtually for many successfull businesses over 15 + years. I know without a doubt her costs are a heck of alot more affordable than highering the big names, they are known for what would take the normal person a week to do they complete within couple days and without a doubt they compliment everyone they partner with to make a great fit!
Please let me know if you are interested in reaching out to Melissa - I personally would be honored to introduce the both of you with the confidence on how well you will love her!
Thanks Vox Pop! I would love to learn some more about what services you offer. Can you please email me your price sheet to: email@example.com
So good to hear from you! Yes, I survived the holidays, but things aren't slowing down (a good thing!). :)
Gosh, yeah, I'd love to be put in touch with anyone you think may be qualified in skills and personality. I guess to say it best of what I'm looking for is to have growth in sales and followers/brand awareness.
I hope you are well and enjoying this rainy week!
Thanks so much for your input and you pose some great quesitons that I hadn't necessarily considered. I think I'm happy to start with short term interns to start the growth and consistency of postings and then could branch out to a long term manager of my social. I'm not afraid to invest some time and training for the right fit! Ultimately, I want it to be mutually beneficial for an intern match. :)
Being busy is a great problem to have. I can reach out to a few folks in Santa Cruz, I have one friend in mind who is really energetic and would totally vibe with your mission.
The rain is lovely, as long as I am inside. How's Santa Cruz? Have you been to C and C lately? I just had a conversation with Chris via YouTube about the importance of avoiding buzzwords in business - I can't get away from these business conversations.
