Is there anyone else receiving an error when trying to file 1099's in QuickBooks Online. I have been trying to e-file since January 2nd and when I call Support, all I receive is that they are working on it. The error I receive is "Sometime went wrong, try again later" and yes the error is misspelled.
This is unacceptable, because we can get penalized if not submitted and mailed in a timely manner. I was told QB will pay for penalties, however, what business needs that on their record with the IRS.
YES! Im getting the same error with the same spelling. Also I noticed on the preview your finished forms page, there are no forms to preview. My account said he could file the 1099's for me but it would cost $100. Is QB going to give me 2 months free for this error to reimburse me? doubt it. ugh. Hope it gets fixed soon.

I've been having this issue for a few days. I try to move from step 2 > step 3 to view my contractors, but every time I get kicked out to a blank screen. I've tried all the things - incognito, cache erase, history erase, etc... and nothing works. I'm hoping they fix it soon or else I'll have to go somewhere else to get it done. Lord help me if I have to print and mail these things..
I received this same error message on two separate days now. Last one on Jan 10, 2024: "Sometime went wrong. Please try again later" on the final page. Keep us posted Intuit...

It's my understanding that this issue is only with QB Online and there is no estimated time for resolution. I have hundreds of 1099's the need to be filed an mailed and it's mandated by the IRS that due to the number of documents, I have to e-file. If not completed by 01/31 there is a penalty. I asked if I had to complete this task through another source would I be reimbursed and credited on my subscription and all I was told is it's under investigation..

I'm having the exact same issue. I have called support twice, sat on the phone for 50 minutes each time only to get hung up on. This is ridiculous.
Try looking all your addresses to see if any State or Zip codes are incorrect. This was the fix for me.
