1099-NEC Check in the wrong place on 1096

Currently, there's an investigation about the 1096 form printing alignment is off for the X that distinguishes between NEC and MISC. 

I'd recommend contacting our payroll support to add your account to the affected users list. Just provide the investigation number INV-97494 so you can be notified through email when any new information becomes available. 

Here's how:

1. Power up QuickBooks.
2. Find Help, then Click QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
3. Click Contact Us.
4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Continue.
5. Sign in to your Intuit account.
6. Select to chat with us or Have us call you.
