I had an error on a W2. I called support and was told a W2c would be filed and was quoted 5-8 days. That was 7 months ago.

I had the same issue I've seen others come to this community with before: an out of state mailing address for an employee. We didn't catch it until the W2s which were sent automatically without us realizing we had them automated as this was our first year on QBO from desktop. The employee had a portion of their wages pulled aside for the state that was the temporarily out of state mailing address only. We immediately called to explain the situation (January 13th) and the specialist assisting me explained this happens all the time and said about 50% of his calls during that time were the same amendment. He told me they would be able to issue a W-2c and they told me it would be escalated and it would be a 5-8 day period. 

I called at day 10 and was told I was misquoted and the issue would need 20-30 days. I called again after the 30 days and was told a W-2c was not possible and not the fix we needed. I was told to explain again what my issue was, and the specialist then said the original solution was the correct one but needed to be resubmitted to the amendments team and was now back at the bottom of their list. He refused to give me a time frame for when to expect it to be fixed. I continued calling once a week after this, and every time I was only told "I see your amendment here, they are working on it and should get to it soon. They will call you when they get to it." Over and over and over again.

We are now in August. Our employee had to file an extension for her tax return. Upon reaching out again today to check on the status, I was asked to explain everything from the beginning. The specialist then exited the chat, and upon trying to start a new help session, the chat bot responds "Unfortunately our help channels are currently closed" and has been doing so for the last hour. How do I get this resolved? What is taking so long, and why am I unable to receive any help?
