Ohio payroll

Anyone else in Ohio having a lot of trouble with QBO payroll?  We have several clients using it and being only 15 miles from the Indiana boarder we have a lot of employees living in Indiana and working for Ohio employers.  When setting up an out of state employee, QBO immediately gives a notification that the tax set up is not complete, even if you mark you have an exemption form from the employee.  And the employer is automatically charged for multi state, even if they are not withholding or filing for multiple states.  I am so angry with QBO, they charge a crazy amount to do payroll, and then when you log in as the accountant/pro advisor to file monthly local payroll reports, you find out no city tax has been withheld. As the accountant/pro advisor you can make no corrections, you have to call support and maybe they can fix it or in my case make it a bigger mess.  By the way, for the first time in four years I was not charged for multi state last month for one of the clients (that has never used it and of course no refund), but QBO messed up the local taxes in taking care of it.  What payroll software are other Ohio employers using that they are happy with it and can handle the city and school taxes?

I hear your sentiments, @blane1. I'll route you in the right direction for support to help you with the trouble you've encountered in QuickBooks Online payroll.

I'd also feel the same way when charged for multi-state. Since your employees are not withholding or filing for multiple states, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team. They can further assist you in eliminating the notification that the tax setup is complete.
