Payroll Taxes

When QuickBooks changed the timing of payroll taxes in October, they took my taxes on the day I ran payroll, the 7th and again on the 15th when it used to come out. The funds were removed from my bank account, but QuickBooks only shows one payment to the IRS so they are not acknowledging the duplicate payment. Has this happened to anyone else and how do you resolve it. I spend over 6 hours and three phone calls to QuickBooks and each time I'm told they need to research and get back to me. No response.

Payroll Taxes

@kimlerm  Sure, this has been happening frequently since the implementation of their oh-so-lovely early withdrawal system.

I think I saw another thread like yours earlier today, in fact.

I expect the only practical resolution here will be to speak with your wallet and your footsteps.

Payroll Taxes

Hi there, @kimlerm.

I appreciate you coming to the Community concerning the tax deductions taken from your account in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I want to ensure that while taking care of your concern about the amounts taken out, you also maintain the privacy of your account when tracking the payments.

I understand that you have already contacted our Payroll Support Team. However, to keep your account secure while checking the tax payments and verifying the taxes posted or acknowledged by the application, I recommend getting in touch with them again.

You can follow the steps below within your QBO account:

  1. In QBO, click the Help button.
  2. In the QuickBooks Assistance chat box, select Talk to a Human or tap the Contact Us button at the bottom.
  3. Then, type in your reason for contacting us in the What can we help you with? Section, and click Continue.
  4. From there, choose a way to connect with us: Chat with us, get a Callback, or call our support line directly by getting our Phone number.

Additionally, refer to this article for other options when contacting them. You can also scroll down to the bottom to see their phone number, support schedule, and hours to contact them at the time of your convenience: Get help with QuickBooks products and services.

After that, you can run payroll reports specific to worker's compensation and customize them to see details according to your preference:

Should you have additional queries about managing payroll taxes, @kimlerm, you can post them here in the Community. Stay safe!
