Join nowWe just implemented Chargebee/Avalara sales tax integration with QB. The issue as hand is that Chargebee is creating a Sales Tax account for every US city, county and state entity...so far we have over 500 Sale Tax Payable accounts. I cannot a get a straight answer from ChargeBee. Has anyone else experience the same situation?
Thank you for bringing the matter to our attention, @abbati.
I would be happy to help you understand how Chargebee works when integrating with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Chargebee can be integrated with QuickBooks Online to ensure that financial operations are automated and accurate and that Subscription Accounting is streamlined. This integration enables you to sync Invoices, Payments, Credit Notes, Refunds, Plans, Discounts, and Taxes. You can also generate financial reports in QuickBooks generate tax liability reports and file returns to specific tax authorities in QuickBooks.
Regarding your issue, it is essential to remember that QuickBooks Online relies on the data provided by third-party apps such as Chargebee. Therefore, the best course of action would be to contact Chargebee to provide further assistance.
In addition, you can refer to this article to learn how to add a sales tax category to your products and services in QuickBooks Online: Add a sales tax category to products and services in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks. We did got back to ChargeBee and they responded saying it was an QB issues since QB is automatically creating the Sale Tax entities. So right now I have hundreds of GL sales tax accounts sitting on my BS for each tax entity. I just joined the Company so I am not exactly sure how everything got set up. I just spoke to a QB agent and they can clean up the mess but they still could not give me a straight answer as how they can stop QB from creating these GL accounts.
Unfortunately, ChargeBee has been of no help. I was hoping someone in the QB community has the same setup that we have (i.e., ChargeBee, Avalara, QB) for managing Sales Tax that I could talk to.
