Join nowI process all of my payroll through Quickbooks and I received a letter from the Department of Treasury that our Form 941 form was submitted 7 days late. Why would that be? Quickbooks automatically pays and processes my taxes for me.
Hi there, fringesalon.
Please know that once you enable the Automate taxes and forms option on your end, we will automatically pay your taxes and file your forms. Based on the statement you've shared, it seems you already set the setting. Let me route you to the right support team to assist you further on this matter in order to ensure you have accurate tax data.
I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Payroll Support Team. They'll have the tools to pull your account and investigate the cause of why the said form was submitted 7 days late.
Here's how:
In case you need several payroll reports in QBO that you can use to view useful info about your business and employees, you can read this article: Run payroll reports.
Feel free to let me know if you still have questions or concerns with this matter. I'm more than happy to assist you, fringesalon. Take care and have a great day ahead.
I am having the same issue. We have quickbooks automated taxes on yet the tax payments were not made. I have been ON HOLD with the quickbooks online payroll support for 1 hour.
quickbooks online payroll support is no help.
Hello JH106,
We want you to come across a different experience than this. We value your time and thank you for your patience.
Since the system turned the automated taxes option for you, you have the full-service payroll. With this, I'd suggest contacting our payroll representative again so they can identify the underlying issue and initiate an investigation if need be.
To avoid repeating your concern, you may provide your previous case number to the new agent so they can review your recent cases.
Furthermore, once the issue is resolved, you may now review the closed books to close out the previous year and prepare for the new one. Here's an article as your guide: Year-end guide for QuickBooks Online.
Keep me posted whenever you have concerns with your taxes.
Just wondering fringesalon if this issue was ever resolved, as I had the same problem...
no i have never gotten an answer. i did submit the notice to quickbooks and am waiting for a response to why it would be paid late.
