Please help me how to put sales tax on production

Good day, userkiran.

I'll make sure you're able to charge sales tax on your invoices.

With the automated sales tax feature, QuickBooks can automatically calculate sales tax based on what you sell, where you sell, and where you ship on your invoices and receipts for easy and accurate filing. Let's see if the new tax system is available on your account, or you can set up manual sales tax.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Taxes, then select Sales tax.
  2. If your QuickBooks is ready to switch to automated sales tax, select either Use automatic sales tax or Get Started. If you don't have the option to switch, it should be available to you soon.
  3. Check if your business address is correct. If it is, select Next. If it isn’t, select the pencil icon ✎ to update the address, then select Next.
  4. Match your existing tax rates with the official state agency either one rate at a time or multiple rates at once.
  5. Select Next.
  6. Review the rates and when you're done, click Save.
  7. Select the X to close the window, or to view a demo of automated sales tax, select Continue.

Once done, you can now apply the sales tax on invoices. I'll show you how.

  1. Click the + New icon.
  2. Select Invoice.
  3. Fill in all the details.
  4. Under the Tax column, put a checkmark on the box for taxable products or services.
  5. Choose the tax rate in the Based on Location dropdown.
  6. Once done, hit Save & close.
