Sales tax in QBO

I have a client who has one client whose sales tax (4 out of the five in a sales tax group) is being coded to Out of State Payable as well as some sales tax payments.  There are other customers who have the same 4 tax jurisdictions and those are being coded correctly.  I don't know where to go to find the bad "pointer".  Please help.

Sales tax in QBO

I'm here to provide some information regarding your sales tax in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @jantco.

For manual setup, you can create a new custom sales tax rate and then assign the newly created one after inactivating the old one.

If you're using Automated sale tax, since you've already verified the set up I recommend contacting our support team to assist you further.

Here's How:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Click either tab to get started: Assistant or Talk to Human.
  4. Search Contact Us,  then Start a chat with a support expert.

Please be guided as well of our Support hours. For Plus, Essentials, and Simple Start users, support is available from Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturday from 6 AM to 3 PM PT. For Advanced subscriptions, support is available any time and any day.

I've added an article to learn how to track your sales tax payments dues in QuickBooks: File your sales tax return and record sales tax payments in QuickBooks Online.

Please let us know if this works for you. I'll be waiting for your response!
