Saved filling

On the filling History I can see all my E-Fillings (Forms, Dates and acceptance from the agency)

Under the "Saved Filling" I have nothing anymore. No files to view.

Not sure why they are not showing. Could it be because I upgraded Quicbooks version from 2016 to 2019?

Saved filling

Hi there, @2014

Thanks for posting here in the Community. I'm here to help share some details about pulling up information under the Saved Filing section for your forms.

The saved filings in QuickBooks Desktop is dependent on the location of where the company file is stored. Since you've upgraded from QuickBooks 2016 to 2019, it's possible that you've changed your company file location. To access your saved forms, you may manually pull them up if you still remember where the file is located.

To learn more about saving forms in QuickBooks Desktop, please refer to this article: Process, print, and save QuickBooks Desktop Payroll tax forms. Also, you may read through this article about moving files in QuickBooks desktop for your future reference: Move QuickBooks Desktop.

This should it!

You've got me here if you need more help with pulling up information on your saved filing in QuixkBooks Desktop. I'd be happy to help. Have a good one!

Saved filling

Hi, @2014  yes, it is entirely possible the lack of seeing your filing history is due to upgrading however over time they should reappear. Even the forms selection window can be blank after upgrade. Make sure you update payroll . The files do all still exist in folders on your hard drive and the newer version of software has to find them. Sometimes all it takes is saving one new form.

What if the company file has accountant changes pending and we tried to remove the accountant changes but secured a back up so that she can print her forms but after we're done with the print forms and pull up again the back up, the save filing were gone.

I've come to share details about saving company filings with accountant changes in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @da59089.

When you send your accountant an Accountant's Copy of your accounting data, you can import their changes and automatically update your company file. However, removing the Accountant's Copy restriction is irreversible. Once the restriction has been removed, the changes in the current Accountant's Copy will not be imported to the company file. You will have to send another Accountant's Copy.

To learn more about importing and adding your accountant’s corrections to update your accounts, please refer to this article: Import your accountant's changes into your company file in QuickBooks Desktop.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have other concerns about backing up your company files and saving your form filings in QBDT. You can drop a comment below, and I'll gladly help. Take care and keep safe always, @da59089.

This is BS!! why in the world would it not save to the company file???  WHy?? as much money at i pay for the subscription and enhanced payroll this shouldn't be a problem!!! I lost all of my saved filing history.  I added a new hard drive, with more space on my computer and lost every single form that i had in my quickbooks for the past 2years. As Much money as i pay for a quickbooks desktop subscription and enhanced payroll, I would have thought it would have ALL saved in the company file that is backed up on a flash drive & online at Intuit Data backup. Nope lost it ALL. I do have my weekly paid 941 tax forms that saved & transferred with no issues, but all of my Quarterly reports, tax & wage reports & all of my Past W2s & 940s, are all gone. Anything that was stored under "Filing History & E filings" I was told by 2 different QBs experts that those files are only saved to my other hard drive on the computer. Why Would it not be saved on the company file???? Doesn't make any sense to me. Make it make sense!!!!
