I understand that you want an option to either turn off the verification when you log in or not.

 

As mentioned by my colleague, this method helps in protecting your data by making sure it's really you who access it. You'll want to check this link for more info: Verify your account with multi-factor authentication. This will also explain the difference between multi-factor authentication and two-step verification.
