Buy now & saveI have a client that her CPA sold the firm and she doesn’t want to stay with that CPA and use me. She gave me a complete copy of the QB backup, but the previous CPA is being evil and keeps changing the password back to them since it shows them as the owner. I paid for a pro-advisor subscription, been with you 34 years, and we have payroll due this week and we can’t trust that evil CPA not to go in and change the password. How they are doing that when we are on a different computer at a different firm is beyond me. In company file, I changed the ownership to me, but for some reason it seems the old CPA can sign in at his firm and change the password which affects me. Clients have 90 days to tell the new CPA they aren’t staying and want their files so it’s a violation of Ethics for the old CPA, but nevertheless, we need to get this resolved as we have payroll or over 100 employees to do. Please help.
