I can help you manage and restore your company file in QuickBooks Online, george15.
When restoring company data to your online account, you can use your backup to choose a specific date and time to restore your file. Please note that while all entries can be restored, there are some exceptions:
- Budgets - you need to export them as a CSV file.
- Inventory - it doesnβt include the inventory history and inventory adjustments.
- Tax rates using expense accounts - the Online Backup and Restore app restores them in your liability accounts.
- Data backed up using the Local Backup feature - This data is saved in .cab format on your personal cloud account; Google Drive or Dropbox, for example. Restoring the data from a local backup is not supported at this time.
Once everything's ready, you may perform and restore your company file again. To do this:
- Navigate to Settings β and select Back up company.
- Find the company you want to restore a back of.
- In the Action βΌ dropdown menu, click Restore.
- Under the Date field, select the date you want to restore.
- Then, choose the time you want to restore from the Time βΌ dropdown menu.
- From the Ready to restore your backup? section, enter "AGREE". Then, select Next. If you see a list of recommended actions, follow them first. After you finish everything on the list, click Refresh to continue.
- Once done, confirm Start Restore.
