I was able to successfully import the bills into QB using the QB provided template.

The one problem I'm facing is that the revenue is not posting properly after I mark the bill as paid.

Specifically the income for the commission portion is not categorized properly.

Is that what the "category" column is to be used for? Do I need to assign the category for each line item in the bill?
