Before anything else, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for getting back here in the thread and for allowing us to help you with your query. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can create budget by class, but doing it by location isn't possible.
A workaround to get you through this is to ensure class and location are enabled or turned on inside the company file. You can also upload it through a CSV file if the spreadsheet sync doesn't work. If you wish to proceed with uploading the CSV file, we'll gladly write the steps below.
You'll want to download a budget template. These are the steps:
- Go to Settings, and select Budgeting.
- Select the Create budget dropdown βΌ and select Import budget.
- Select the Sample.csv link to download the template.
- Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like the downloads folder on your computer.
