Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, rfgstaff. I'll guide you through changing a deposit's date in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

If you've entered the deposit manually, you can edit the date from your chart of accounts. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the account and click View Register.
  3. Click the transaction to expand the view.
  4. Edit the date and select Save.

However, if the transaction is from the Banking page, we're unable to change the date since the system relies on the details provided by your financial institution. You'll need to add it first so you can modify the date in the chart of accounts. You can refer to the steps above on how.

Additionally, you can keep a record of payments in the Undeposited Funds account to deposit them all at once in your real-life bank.

Keep in touch if you need additional guidance in changing a deposit's date in QBO. I'll ensure to respond promptly to your questions. Stay safe.
