Buy nowHello all,
I came here to the community to find an answer to the issue with incorrect imports from MileIQ into Quickbooks online. Like many of you, I was getting errors and not much clarity as to what they were. It didnt appear that there was a real solution posed here. While searching around in another location, I did run across the ability to export trips FROM Quickbooks, and that was suggested to get a reference file for proper formatting. After looking at the file, I did find the date solution AND the ability to import the MileIQ files directly into Quickbooks!
Here it is: Export the MileIQ files as a .csv file. Open the .csv file in Excel (or similar). Select the cells that have the dates in them. Choose Modify Cells. Select the Date format, and then choose the format that looks like this YYYY-MM-DD.
I know that sounds weird, however that's the exact format that the exported Quickbooks file had. Once I changed the date format in my files, they imported without any errors!
I hope that helps someone in the QB community.
