I've got some insights about the final confirmation code when changing payroll bank accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll also route you to the best support who can help you with this further.
The final confirmation code when changing payroll bank accounts is verification from QuickBooks. It's a part of the Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) process that verifies your identity to make sure your account isn't compromised.
You're unable to update your MFA phone number inside the QBO product. You'll have to log into your Intuit account profile to do this. However, since you'll need to receive an MFA code to edit your Intuit account's phone number, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team again. They have the appropriate tools to help update your phone number so you can change your payroll bank account accordingly. Here's how:
Once your MFA phone number is updated, you can now proceed in changing your company's bank account for payroll. You can visit this article for the complete guide: Change your payroll bank account.
Also, you may want to visit one of our Help pages if you need more insights about managing your Intuit or QuickBooks account: Account Management. It includes topics about subscription, company info, and data and security, to name a few.
