Yes, you're right, CR admin.

 

The IRS is imposing new password requirements for those paying federal taxes electronically. They require a 13-month password expiration policy and must be 12-30 characters.

 

Here are the following EFTPS password guidelines:

  • Have at least one uppercase letter.
  • Have at least one lowercase letter.
  • Have at least one number.
  • One of the following characters ( ! , @, #, $, *, +, - ).
  • No double characters (no consecutive characters can be the same)
  • It must not be the same as any of the five previous passwords used.

You may consider updating your password now so you'll be able to pay your taxes successfully. You can go to this website: https://www.eftps.gov/eftps/login/loginInitial.
