I appreciate the actions you’ve taken to rectify the H202 error in QuickBooks Enterprise multi-user mode, @mhn8339. I've got some additional troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve this issue. Allow me to discuss this further below.

To begin with, the H202 error in QuickBooks typically occurs when there are problems with the multi-user hosting setup, such as incorrect hosting configuration settings or issues with the Database Server Manager. You can try the following troubleshooting steps:

Solution 1: Check the service on your server

Note: If you use the full version of QuickBooks on your server computer, first turn on multi-user hosting.

  1. Open QuickBooks on your server computer. Go to File and then select Utilities. If Host Multi-User Access is an option, select it. If Stop Hosting Multi-User Access is an option, don’t select it.

Make sure QuickBooks services are running on your server computer. Follow these steps to check QuickbooksDBXX. Then repeat them for QBCFMonitorService.

  1. Open the Windows Start Menu on your server computer.
  2. Type in “Run” into the search and open Run.
  3. Enter “services.msc” into the Run window, then hit Enter.
  4. Navigate QuickBooksDBXX on the list then double-click. XX notes your version of QuickBooks plus 10. Example: QuickBooks 2023 is QuickBooksDB33.
  5. Choose Automatic for the Startup Type and make sure the Service status is either Running or Started. If it’s neither, select Start.
  6. Click the Recovery tab.
  7. Select Restart the Service from each of these dropdown menus: First failureSecond failure, and Subsequent failures.

  8. Click Apply and then select OK to save the changes.
  9. Repeat these steps for QBCFMonitorService.

When you’re done, open QuickBooks on each workstation. Go to the File menu and select Switch to Multi-user Mode. If everything opens correctly, the problem is fixed.
