I will definitely try this and look for other instances of this attempted install. This has been an issue since March. They tried installing themselves. When Quickbooks tech support failed in their efforts to resolve, they then contacted me. I'm their regular Network IT support. My initial attempt to install failed. I got so frustrated, I turned away and told them I'd be back on this before the expected retirement of this version. So here we go again. Nothing has changed, nothing is working.
I've now got more things to try, thanks to the community. Will keep on those and see what happens.
