The latest MacOS Sonoma 14.0 updates include compatibility patches for all supported versions of QuickBooks for Mac (2021-2024). To manually upgrade your QBDT, ensure you have the minimum system requirements to run QBDT for Mac on your device and locate your license and product numbers.
Once done, download and install QBDT 2021 on your computer. Then, update or convert your 2019 company file to work in the newer QBDT version. Here's how:
- Open your company file.
- Click on Upgrade when QuickBooks prompts you to update your company file.
- If you receive a prompt message, select OK.
- Check your balances, reports, and accounts to ensure you've updated your company file successfully.

Note that starting from May 31, 2024, all versions of QBDT 2021 will be discontinued.
