Hello there, RGillis.

I can see the importance of showing the progress invoices when creating an invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

We can check Account and settings to see if progress invoicing is enabled. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings.
  3. Click the Sales tab.
  4. Tap the Progress Invoicing edit pencil icon and turn it on.
  5. Hit Save, and then Done.

If it's already turned on, you might be using the new invoice layout, which doesn't support progress invoicing. Consider switching to the Old layout by clicking on it at the top if available. I've added a screenshot below for visual reference.

To learn more about progress invoicing in QuickBooks, read this article: Set up and send progress invoices.

Once your customer pays their invoice, you can refer to this link to record it in the system: Record invoice payments.

Please let me know if you have more questions about progress invoicing or other concerns. I'm here to answer them. Take care.
