You're right, this is strange behavior.  I'd first like to ask if you have another device or computer you could try it on to rule out any conflicts on the device itself, especially if it's a company computer that may have security in place that could block a chat.  This could be another computer or even a mobile device! 

 

We can also try this in incognito mode.  Here's how to open your browser's private window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
