Let's get rid of the error message so you can make the classes inactive.
You should be able to inactivate the class after deleting or removing it from the recurring transactions or scheduled liability payments. Since you're still getting the error message, let's check if the class is used in a transaction. To do so, let's run the Transaction Detail by Account report and group it by class. Here's how:
Once done, go back and make the class inactive again.
If you get the same result, let's log in to your QBO account using a private browser. There are times that the browser stores frequently accessed data, thus causing QBO to act weirdly. Press this shortcut key on your keyboard to open a private browser:
If this works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I recommend switching to a different one.
