Setting cash basis Profit & Loss report to post the "As of payment received" and "Payment made" dates is a great functionality to add in QuickBooks Desktop, MAcc Forensic Accounting. I'll share an update about this feature.
The data shown by the report when on a cash basis is already working as designed. Add the dates is also unavailable in the program. Rest assured that the Product Development Team is constantly enhancing the program. They continue introducing new features, interfaces, or other improvements to cater to the users' business needs.
I encourage sharing your request about having this functionality while generating your financial report. You can follow the steps on how to submit it:
- Go to the Help menu and then select Send Feedback Online.
- Choose Product Suggestion.
- Add the type of feedback.
- Type in your feature suggestion.
- Once done, click Send Feedback.
