If the primary admin of the account is still working for you and still has access to the account, you can ask them to transfer the account. Check out this article for detailed guidance: Change the primary admin user in QuickBooks Online.
If it's no longer available, I suggest reaching out to our account protection team to recover your account. To check the documents to prepare and the form to prepare, refer to this article: Request to be the primary admin or contact.
You can also reach our Customer Support for QuickBooks Online (QBO) by going to the Help icon at the top right of the account to help you with the process.
Follow the steps below:
- Go to the Help icon to connect to a live support agent.
- Click on the Contact Us button and provide some details about this concern.
- Provide us some information about your concern in the What can we help you with? box and click on Continue.
- You'll now be provided options on how to connect to our Customer Support.

Once you're back in your account, you can change your email address or other information.
