Budget by Class

We just started using classes in QB 2019 desktop.  All of 2020 budget is entered by account/class.  2019 was just entered by account.

When I run reports, I can't get both 2019 and 2020 budget on same report.  I need to be able to run reports for multiple years for comparison.  Is there a way to do this without completely reentering 2020 budget to just by account?

Budget by Class

Hello there, @Beth60497.

When comparing budgets in QuickBooks Desktop, make sure the data showing in both reports use the same category. You need to re-enter the budget for 2020 by account to pull up matching information.

To give you more insights on how budgets work in QuickBooks Desktop, please see this link: Create a budget or forecast in QuickBooks Desktop.

On the other hand, QuickBooks is striving to develop the product to help our users run their business easier. Features are added based largely on the preferences gathered from the customers.

To stay current with our latest news and updates, I recommend visiting the New Feature section on your QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Click on Help at the top menu bar.
  2. Select on New Features.
  3. Choose New Feature Tour.

If you have any other questions about running reports or any QuickBooks related things, let me know. I'd be more than happy to help. Take care!
