Can I connect Quickbooks (simple start plan) to my Biz Venmo account

Thanks for asking for updates on this thread, @SouthpawPrintCo. At the moment, we don't have a specific time as to when the option to connect Venmo with QuickBooks is available.

We highly recommend adding your Venmo transactions manually by importing them in a CSV file format.

I understand the convenience of downloading your transactions automatically. Rest assured that our engineers are already studying this feature to make it available in future updates.

Keep in touch if you have additional requests or suggestions. We're always around here to listen and help in any way we can.

This is just wrong. Quickbooks online does not support linking to a business Venmo account.

Hi Nicky.

Yes, you can connect your Biz Venmo account into QuickBooks Online (QBO) Simple Start. I'm here to guide you with the detailed steps.

  1. Open your QBO account, then click on Banking at the left pane.
  2. Go to the Banking page, then click on Connect account or Link account (if you have existing bank connected).
  3. Search and select Venmo.
  4. Input the login credentials, then follow the onscreen pop-ups to complete the process.

Here's an article you can read more about adding accounts to download recent transactions automatically: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

After QuickBooks downloads transactions, you need to approve and categorized them. Here's how: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Can I connect Quickbooks (simple start plan) to my Biz Venmo account

I appreciate you for joining this thread and for sharing some clarifications, @bpeikes.

As of now, QuickBooks Online (QBO) only supports connecting personal Venmo accounts. I can see linking your Business Venmo account is essential in running your business.

What we can do is to send a request to have your bank supported. This way, our development team will coordinate with your bank and have it implemented in the future. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu and select the Banking tab.
  2. Click Connect account.
  3. Type in your bank name in the search box.
  4. Select Request.
  5. Enter the bank name, bank URL, and click Request.

You can also check this link for more details: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking.

In the meantime, you'll want to manually upload your transactions in QBO. This way, you can still manage your business with ease.

Furthermore, I'm adding these links that can guide you in seamlessly matching your transactions and accounts:

I'm just a post away from you if have other clarifications or follow-up questions about connecting your bank in QBO. I'll be more than happy to answer them for you. Have a great weekend ahead!

How is it almost a year and this hasn't been resolved? The whole point of QBO is to use it for BUSINESS. Not allowing its users to connect to their Venmo BUSINESS account seems ridiculous. Developers...where are we on this? Thanks in advance.

I would have also been disappointed by that, HikeTheGap.

As of now, we don't have a specific time frame when this option will be available to QuickBooks Online.

I'd recommend sending a feedback request directly to our Product Development team. This helps us improve the features in the program.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear menu and then select Feedback.
  2. Type in your feature request in the description box.
  3. Once done, click on Next.

In the meantime, I'd suggest manually adding the transactions to QuickBooks. You can check the format to make sure the data is correct.

We appreciate your understanding on this matter. Please know that we're determined to get this resolved.

Any update on Biz Venmo to QB? Anything we can do to expedite it? Only see the Personal side linked but not the business.

Hi, @sukreetsingh.

I understand that you need to connect your account to QuickBooks. At this time, we haven't received updates about the connection between QuickBooks and Biz Venmo yet. While waiting, you can bring your transactions manually to QuickBooks to continue tracking your entries. Once they are available in QuickBooks, get ready to match and categorize them.

On the other hand, you can visit our blog to stay current with the latest QuickBooks news and feature updates. Here's the link: QuickBooks Blog.

Hi there! Are there any updates as to when Venmo can be automatically connected to Quickbooks? Thanks for your help.

It would be very convenient to connect your Biz Venmo to (QBO), @RootDown.

For now, QuickBooks Online only support connecting personal Venmo accounts. Instead, we can send a request to have your business account supported. Our development team will work with your bank so it might get implemented in the future updates.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu and select the Banking tab.
  2. Click Connect account.
  3. Type in your bank name in the search box.
  4. Select Request.
  5. Enter the bank name, bank URL, and click Request.

While waiting, I suggest manually uploading your transactions into (QBO). You can check the format to make sure the impost goes smoothly. This way, you can still manage your entries with ease.

After QuickBooks downloads transactions, you need to approve and categorized them: Match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I will always be around if you need further assistance with connecting your bank account. Have a good one.

Can I connect Quickbooks (simple start plan) to my Biz Venmo account

To everyone looking for a solution to connect their BUSINESS Venmo account to Quickbooks:

It's not possible and it's not something Quickbooks has control over. It's a Venmo decision. Venmo does not have a separate login for a business. They tie your business venmo account to your personal venmo account. We need to direct our concerns to Venmo, not Quickbooks.

That said, Venmo has informed people that they are working on separating business venmo profiles from personal venmo profiles. Once that is completed, it's possible that we can connect our business venmo to quickbooks.

Yeah it doesn't work, it is so sad. I am also amazed at the fact that every time someone post something we have Intuit support every-single-time responding with an automated thing that has nothing to do with the problem or it doesn't address the concerns (they will probably do it in this post too). It reminds me of the movie Memento, Intuit wakes up every day completely forgetting about the conversation it just had :p.

Okay, two years later.  Has there been a solution to connect venmo biz account to intuit yet? Or is is still limited to personal transactions?
