Can you search by tags or tag multiple transactions at the same time? I seem to remember in Quicken you can run a report and then edit the transactions in the report?

I found the Tags menu - it's actually under "Bookkeeping" not "Banking" :) Would be a great feature request if you could add tags in list view rather than having to click to enter each transaction. It also seems you can't sort by the different column headers or even filter by tag (that I could see). It's a very powerful feature that's really useful. Again - thanks so much!

2 years later and this feature is STILL not available in QB. There's no point submitting feedback because QB never listens to the community. Thumbs down

I use QBO and it works perfectly fine! I can add tags in bulks to multiple transactions. I wonder what version of QuickBooks do you use that it doesn't work? 

Hey folks, has this feature moved?  I no longer have "banking" tab where I could find the tag menu.  it is now called "transactions" and no longer has tags within it.

Can you please help me find the setting where I used to be able to look at all of the transactions under a specific tab and bulk update them.  How can I do this with the new update to the tags?

I've got some insights you need about this Tags feature in QuickBooks Online.

As provided by my colleague, GlinetteC, above, the Tags feature that we used to see on the Banking page has already been moved to the Gear icon. However, we can still bulk tag or update transactions. Here's how: 

1. Go to the Gear icon. 
2. Choose Tags.
3. From there, select the Start tagging transactions.
   
    
4. Tick the transactions, then click Update tags.

I do not get this part of the screen you are showing.  I have tried under both Quickbooks online from the browser and the app, but I don't have that option.  Where would I find this?

I'll clarify things about the Start tagging transactions option on the Tags page.

Regarding this, we can only utilize the option once. That said, if you've already used it when updating or bulk-tagging your transactions, you're unable to see it again.

Alternatively, we can bulk tag transactions from the See all untagged transactions section. Otherwise, update the tagged transactions by opening them under Tags or Tag Groups.

For transaction that have "Split" Category, how do you apply individual Tags?

I see the convenience of tagging split transactions to get deeper insights into your sales and expenses. However, this feature is currently unavailable.

With this, you may consider sharing this idea with our product developers. They can consider this for future updates depending on the number of requests. I'll show you how:
