Buy nowHello,
Is there a way to change in bulk the payment method for a categorized expense?
I have about 450 items where the payment method is empty, and I need to change that to credit card.
Thank you,
Elie
Let me share some details about changing a payment type for your categorized expenses, @Elie-B.
Changing the payment method to a credit card for categorized expenses in bulk is an unavailable feature in QuickBooks. The reclassify tool will help you move transactions to similar accounts or change their classes. For more details, open this link: Reclassify or move multiple transactions in QuickBooks Online Accountant and Advanced.
On the other hand, feel free to check out these articles as your reference for future online bank categorizing transactions:

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my question.
It might be faster to re-do them one by one rather than exploring apps and sharing sensitive information.

Hello there, Elie-B.
Yes, you are correct that the article shared by my peer or the video you watched is about reclassified category transactions and has nothing to do with payment methods. I'll ensure you can send feedback so your suggestion is forwarded to the Product Development Team.
I recommend submitting feedback on having the option to change the payment method to a credit card for categorized expenses by batch or bulk. This recommendation is sent to our engineer for consideration in future updates.
Here's how:
While waiting for the feature to be available in QuickBooks, you consider following the recommended workaround by finding apps. This way, it'll help you change the payment method at once.
