Customer:Job Not Found

Hello Everyone

I am using Quickbooks Enterprise 2015, but recently it's happen for my customer accounts randomly.  When I want to apply any action to my existing customer, it will popup the following screen to ask me to create a customer.

popup.jpg

But which is a customer in Quickbooks already.  If I change the customer:Job into a totally different name then it will working right away.  When I change back the original name, that popup will show again.  I tried REBuild feature, which show "rebuild complete" and Verify Data that show nothing wrong.  If anyone had a solution, please please let me know.  Which happen made my office work stuck everyday now.

Thank you very much

Customer:Job Not Found

Hi there, @Kernel426.

The pop-up message that you've seen will appear whenever the customer isn't in your company file. I suggest re-sorting your customer list base on their first three digits. This is one of the troubleshooting options when you encounter any odd behavior. Here's how:

  1. In the Edit menu, click Find.
  2. Select the Advanced tab, then in the Filter list select Name.
  3. Click the Name ▼ dropdown, then press Ctrl+L on your keyboard.
  4. Select the Include Inactive checkbox. If it's grayed out that means that there are no inactive names.
  5. Click the Name ▼ dropdown, then select Re-sort List.
  6. Select OK.
  7. Close and reopen your company file.

Then, you can test it out to see if your customer's name will be recognized in the QBDT. If not, you'll have to run the QuickBooks File Doctor. Please check this article for the steps: Fix company file and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor.

I'll be here if you need anything. Stay safe out there.
